OUR STORY:
Ovid Community Church is a Christ-centered, Bible-teaching church located in Madison County, nestled between Pendleton and Anderson. From its origins as a near-empty building that trustees were forced to sell, Ovid Community Church has a rich history defined by faith and perseverance against the odds. Early leaders and congregants faced immense challenges, including the threat of foreclosure, yet they moved forward to establish what would become a thriving spiritual and community hub. This legacy of determination fueled significant growth, leading to the expansion from a simple frame building to a modern complex including a new sanctuary, a memorial youth center, and a Christian education facility. Rooted in a 150-year story of community service and unwavering faith, the church stands as a testament to what a dedicated group of people can achieve for the glory of God. Today, this vibrant congregation welcomes an average of 150-200 people on any given Sunday, continuing a 150-year story of community, outreach, and unwavering faith in God's provision.
